=)

There's always gonna be another mountain
We're always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Sometimes we're gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast we get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

A timely break.

In this time of fear
When prayers so often proves in vain
Hope seems like the summer birds
Too swiftly flown away

Yet now I'm standing here
My heart's so full I can't explain
Seeking faith and speaking words
I never thought I'd say

There can be miracles, when you believe
Though hope is frail, it's hard to kill
Who knows what miracles you can achieve
When you believe, somehow you will
You will when you believe

Last Friday, it was announced that the university shall be closed for a week starting Monday, bringing forward the mid-semester holidays. A pro-active measure to curb the spread of H1N1 influenza, as stated in the VC's circular.

Hmm.

LAWASIA is coming nearer.

Yes.

It is in a forthnight's time.

Saya yakin dan percaya (att. Hafiz) this rather untimely week long mid-sem break is actually a blessing in disguise for the mooting team as we'll each and every second of the week for an intensive training.

Well.

Talking about LAWASIA, as a junior and inexperienced mooter, I swear that I am actually pretty nervous about it.

Very nervous, actually.

But, you see, miracles do happen when you actually believe in yourself.

And, yes.

I do believe that, so as long god permit me to do so, i can make it.

The past one and a half month has been a very interesting journey. The ups and the downs of doing research and writing the submissions for LAWASIA has taught me that in life, nothing is easy to achieve. However, even how hard or tough things are, it is never impossible to achieve as long as you work hard for it. Nil Sine Labore.

And.

Pray to god.

because no matter how hard you've worked, if He do not permit you to earn or achieve whatever that you've been working on, don't even dream for it.

There is always tomorrow where the sun will always shine like it always does.

Being able to sit down, relax and updating this blog in the comfort of my own room is a pure bliss.

Yesterday was horrible. Stress + sinus does not equate to something enjoyable especially when you have two lectures straight in the morning, a proposal to be evaluated later that afternoon and a shitty oral script.

Running here and there with a throbbing and exceptionally heavy head was a horrible nightmare but well, i managed to get through it. thanks to the readily available paracetamols in my organizer.

Really.

You ought to have em around especially in these kind of situations sebelum possession2 anda melayang ke sana sini. haha. yesterday was too hectic that i forgot it was my lil brother's 8th birthday.

Happy birthday dear. =)

Well, I'm glad to have caring people all around. Even when i thought that my day sucks, they will be there to remind me that there is always tomorrow where the sun will always shine like it always does. =)

Off the Edge

Well. I have been attempting to write for quite a numer of times but to no avail. Things just don't want to come out. I prefer oral communication rather than writing, but i still love writing, though. Haha.

Well. I think this is the best place for me to review what I've read, Leslie. =) Basically the latest Off the Edge is about how our young women politicians fare after a year had passed. They featured them exactly last year after they've triumphed the general elections.

These brave and revolutionary women include Hannah Yeoh, Subang Jaya ADUN; Nurul Izzah Anwar, Lembah pantai MP and Jenice Lee, Teratai ADUN. They are all new and fresh faces in the political arena, armed with steel determination in bringing changes and to promote social justice. This is what they preached during the last elections lah.

So, the magazine is trying to investigate whether these women had practice whatever they've preached a year before. basically, they are doing their utmost best in keeping their promises alive. Things are easier for the two ADUNs tho as they are part of the government but not Izzah as whenever she's trying to bring something new or do her job, restrain from the majority winning party in the Parliament, (don't want to mention, bahaya, haha) makes it difficult for her to implement such planned activities. Double standards, if you read the article in detail. =P

So basically that's it lah. It's good, you see to have dynamic and energetic new generations helming our administrations. So at least there's changes lah. The government will be more accountable, transparent and people-oriented.

Disclaimer: This is my own private opinion and it's purely academic. Hahahaha.

Moving on. Last two days, on Monday, I went to Shah Alam. First, to do some reserach for my upcoming LAWAsia. and secondly, juz to hang out with the bunch; Hafiz, Nash and Mior. It's been a while though. Haha.

After sending Aina to school, i leisurely drove down to the library and met Hafiz. Flipped through the papers before leaving to Cempaka 3 for abrief chat with Widee and co. Haha. Lame tak sembang2 ngan Widee. Rindu. =P Saw Miss Liza there. Suddenly terus pucat. Teringat my torts! I waved at her hoping that she could read my facial expression which can be literally translated to: "Please don't fail my torts!" =P

We had a good lunch at Sect. 6 later on before moving to the highlight of the day. Helping them pindahkan their stuff from Sect. 8 to their new house in Sect. 2! It took us a couple of hours but it's worth it. It was tiring but fun. At least i got the chance to experience Mior's driving skill. I give you 3 1/2 out of 5! hahaha. Way to go!

So after maghrib and much unpacking of stuffs, we headed down to Pak Su Kopitiam for dinner, only after a 15 minutes of heated discussion. =) and the best part is...! my dinner was F.O.C! Thanks Nash, Hafiz, Mior! I was planning to call it a day and head back to Subang after sending them back to Sect. 2 but I end up tido kat umah diorang.

We woke up quite late the next day as the tempation to continue sleeping in ain air-coned room is very hard to resist! *wink*

Haruslah kalau nak rasa macam kat London kite melepak kat umah korang, kan piz?
Haha~

the exam period. stressful? naah.

come to think about it. my examination month was quite interesting. starting with the exam week. oh ya. before the week started, som e of us from the SMF; Alan, Rahimi, Ain, Hafiz, Ardi, Herni and Syat were given the 'honour' to catch a glimpse and experience UiTM's spanking new ultra-modern Puncak Alam campus. basically we had a leadership course there lah. haha.

so after that, came the mounting pressure of final examinations. i commute daily between s.j and shah alam during that period an thenceforward with most of my time were spent 'studying' in the library. studying, eh khairil? god knows. =P other than studying that period of time were also the time where i had the chance to mingle and hang out with my seniors.

my day during this period usually starts at 10 where i will slowly drive down to shah alam. after a few hours freezing my self in the library, nasrul, hafiz, rahimi or kwamer and i will hunt spots to beat our mid-day (or even later if i were to arrive late) hunger pangs. there's one time where nasrul and i discovered a stall in tesco which serves nice hand-made muslim-chinese noodles. you people ought to try it. *yum* there's even one day where two of us plus hafiz helped ourselves with a decent RM 20/set steamboat. sampai tak boleh bangun kekenyangan. hahaha.

as the exam starts, the atmosphere were increasingly intense. usually, if there's a paper the next day, a bunch of us, usually Abbas, Alan and Rahimi and occasionaly Nasrul, Zaki, Kwamer and Muiz, will burn our mid-night oils at Cempaka. we will study till usually six before dozing off. it sounds tiring, and, yes, it does, but i think it's worth every second.

but basically, at the end of the day, it's all about experiencing once-in-a-lifetime campus life.

H-O-L-I-D-A-Y-!

the pause is cused by the examination. don't blame me. haha. well. i'm literally quite free now. with semester 1 came to an end last sunday, what i could hope is to get a decent GPA an CGPA. torts and contracts were the two papers that have streched my nerves to its limit. and i really really really hope i can pass these two. GOD HELP ME! =) well. enough is enough. what i can promise to myself for now is. to WORK HARDER (and i mean it) next semester. and also to excel in whatever societies i'm in right now. period.

now. here comes the best part of the semester. HOLIDAYS! which later would turn out to be not that enjoyable due to what i call trapped-in-boredom syndrome. nevertheless. i have few stuff that i'm really looking forward to do this holidays. first. is the preparation for LAWASIA moots. since this is my first time mooting. i really can't wait. yes Shairil. can't wait to spend the rest of my semester holidays with you! hahahaha. next. is the inductions for asasi students and also the part BLS. since most of them, the BLS freshies (cheh. baru habis part 1 dh blagak senior!) are my friends from kedah, i'm sure we will have so much fun. SO MUCH FUN. am i right seniors? *wink*  hahaha.

Back from a slight adjournment.

I know it has been a very very very long time.
since i last updated this blog.
yes.
this is the problem with me.
when i'm too occupied, i don't feel like writing.
for the past three months, i've been through a lot ups and downs.
i've tried to put them up in this blog.
but to no avail.
haih. =P
nvm that.

well. let me see.
exam is just around the corner with my first paper is due on the 22nd.
if i'm not mistaken.
CTU 551. followed by contracts (god help me!), torts, MLS (alamak!) and consti.
my last paper will be on the 10th. yay!
well folks. for the next few weeks.
i need to work and study really hard.
REALLY HARD.
and i mean it.
haha.

like i said.
the past three months have been quite interesting.
besides academics, life in shah alam is very different.
having to meet many new friends is one exciting thing you ought to enjoy.
but losing your old friends due to certain changes in them or in me myself is one bitter thing to swallow.
but, life has to go on.

the highlights of this semester?
first: being able to be part of the SMF.
yes. SMF has been the ground for me to explore many of the faculty's unseen adventure and fun besides being able to make new friends from all parts. Well, i'm looking forward to another fun-filled semester with this bunch of 'genial' people!

second: to be chosen as a mooter.
i got myself into the team unexpectedly. the first intention was to gain exposure through their workshop and secondly is to experience mooting by attending their audition. suddenly. *poof* i got chosen! despite the fact that i got labelled by the bench as a professional liar in international laws. haha me!

third: to be back in merbok!
under SMF, i got the chance to be back in merbok for the SMF's annual merbok homecoming program. together with the part 3s we journeyed down the memory lane. from strolling and cherishing the good ol' days through the lush and well-trimmed grounds of the campus to striking pins at the ever-memorable Central Square, this event is definitely an event to remember!

we're the same now.
